Welcome to Pine Class!
We are a Year 2/3 Class taught by Miss Tunnicliffe and supported by Mrs Robinson & Mrs Humphries.
After all the effort and AMAZING homework that Class Pine have produced this week I would like to award everyone in Class Pine Learning Log of the Week! I will reward them with extra play.
Thank you for supporting your child with their models and maps.
Happy New Year to you all!
I hope that you have all had a very enjoyable Christmas.
The children have once again been amazing this week, starting the new term with great enthusiasm and determination.
This terms newsletter is below so that you can look at the areas we will be covering over the next 7 weeks.
To support their learning further I have booked a school trip to the Birmingham History Museum for the 2nd February to investigate Greek artefacts.
Thank you for your continued support.

This afternoon Pine Class ventured over Gentleshaw Common to build nests for humans to sleep in, which is linked to their work on 'The Magic Finger' by Roald Dahl. In the book The Gregg family had decided to build a nest so they wouldn't be eaten by cats and foxes! Here are some of the things Pine children said about their afternoon:
"I couldn't wait to see everyone else's nests." H
"It was epic!" T
"It was amazing, everybody being together to make nests was the best part!" J
"The best day ever!" J
Class Pine have been using freeze framing to retell the Roald Dahl story 'The Magic Finger'.
