Welcome to Willow Class webpage.
Willow Class are taught by Mrs Skelton and supported by Mrs Robinson and Miss Whitworth
Welcome back to our final term together; what a busy time it will be!
Amongst the things to look forward to, we will be: blasting our SATs out of the park; tripping the light fantastic as we begin rehearsals for the end-of-year show; travelling the local area as part of our Bikeability training; visiting our high schools as we get ready to leave primary school (sob!); exploring the great outdoors at Standon Bowers and generally working incredibly hard as we have lots of fun.
Watch this space as we update you with pictures and samples of our brilliant work!
Mrs Skelton, Miss Whitworth and Willow
Thank you to everyone who took the time to create such wonderful pieces of work. We enjoyed sampling the foods, reading the fascinating facts and looking at the pictures of you all having a great time doing homework! Below are some examples of the work that was handed in. I can't wait to see how the next learning logs turn out!
This is fast becoming my favourite part of the school week (and no, not just because of the baking...although it does help...)!
This fortnight's theme was "Earth, Moon, Sun and Beyond" and yet again, I was knocked sideways by the level of commitment and effort put into each piece of homework.
Below are some pictures of how the Log was interpreted; amazing work, Willow!
To kick off our topic for Autumn 2, the theme was Frozen Kingdom. I was interested to see the ways you would approach the learning and what would grab your attention. As usual, you "wow"ed me with your work, your presentation and the range of approaches and types of work that were produced. Here are some of the examples; look out for the use of sparkly lights!
This fortnight, Willow had Environmental Rescue as the Learning Log theme and I feel lucky to have so many committed environmentalists in the class! Whitney Houston (ask your parents, kids!) told us that "...children are the future" and your generation will get to make the rules. Willow, if you all get to be in charge then the future will see everyone taking responsibility for the environment and making positive changes to protect our beautiful planet.
The future's bright...the future's Willow!
